What we think is what make us today…

I was at class today and my lecturer got my attention. The last 30 minutes of the class he started to talk about how people think positively and how it could make a real difference in one’s life.
People always nagging about things, things like their job, their marriage, their life. “Kenapala aku kena buat kerja ni?!” “Kenapalah aku tak kaya?!” “Kenapalah aku dapat boss camni?!” and all sorts of negative thoughts like that. He explained about the subconscious mind and how to use it. The subconscious mind is our believe system that had to be feed or given the right input to make it work better thus making our conscious mind think positively.
People are what they are because of what they think…
How to think positive?
Write good things about ourselves and say it out loud everyday. Yes, perhaps we are not thinking like doing that when we are at this age (matured and old enough) but there’s a logic to that. By saying good things and hearing good things everyday, you’ll be positively confident and believe in yourself. You’ll give a good input to your subconscious mind and that is good for your mind. Why not give it a try?
He said, to improve ourselves in handling situation especially the bad ones, always ask the write question.
Ask yourself HOW instead of WHY.
“How to improve my working environment?” instead of “Why is my working environment is like this?” or “Why la my boss like this?”
“How to save money when i got all these commitments?” instead of “Why la I got no saving?” or “Why is my money never enough?”
“How to achieve higher level in my job?” instead of “Why I got no promotion until now? I’ve worked for 8 years oredi!!”

Put the goals and vision of your life in a paper; make plans; put advantages and disadvantages and work hard to achieve it!!!
What ever you say and what ever you think make difference in your life.
Be patient and never give up!
There is always a “hikmah” in everything that happened.
Don’t blame others for your own fate. You yourself have to wake up and stand for yourself; I want this in my life, I want to achieve this, I want to buy this in 2 years time, I want to be rich, I want to be happy..

Suddenly I feel the positiveness around me and insyaAllah I will try to apply what he said.
At the end of he lecture, he told us to watch “The Secret” movie. Somehow related to what he said to us in the class.
* btw my lecturer’s name is Reza and he’s from Iran; teaching me Decision Support System.

i absolutely agree with your lecturer. well, it’s very true in my case. zaman akak sekolah dulu, akak selalu fikir yg “aku tak mampu nak buat benda ni sehebat ni” “aku takkan boleh jadi mcm dia”, “aku tak pandai subject ni”, etc… Then that’s it – jadilah saya seperti saya dulu. Sejak mula kerja, akak suka dengar ceramah motivasi esp dari Fadzilah Khamsah & that’s what he’s been telling us, kena sentiasa think positive – plus redha, plus be happy with ourselves. Akak rasa sejak akak terapkan semua tu dlm diri, rezeki akak melimpah ruah, apa je yg akak buat so far ada hasilnya.
Tapi setback dia lak, bila kita selalu happy, selalu dpt apa yg kita nak, nanti adalah yg mula PHD, yg tak suka tgk kita happy, kata kita ni menunjuk ke, apa ke, sampai satu tahap, akak rasa nak give up semula. Tapi bila fikir balik, why do we live to please other people? So, akak bangkit semula – always telling myself to think positive, akhirnya bukan saja kita lebih gembira dan puas dgn hidup, kita juga buat org sekeliling kita tumpang gembira.
Moral of the story – happiness is the way of life – not a destination!
P/s ini blog korang ke blog aku? hehe…

hihiih kak amie pun kak amie la yang
btw hari ni kat ofis pun ada buat career talk.. tp tiga2 speakers cakap pasal what makes them today, the mindset and behaviour they demonstrated, and the hardwork that eventually pays off in the end.
the essence of their talk is just one thing – u must know how to bounce back once u failed. being able to fight your fear is already an achievement, so as being positive, and keep smiling all the time
and for my case, i feel VERYVERYVERY motivated when a friend told me that my GM acknowledge my capabilities and he even talked about it to other managers. yeayyy!!
